Healthy Nuitrious Food For the Elderly
Every week we distribute a hundred and fifteen (115) food packages to the older persons to a geographical area from Scotts Head to St. Joseph inclusive of the 15 persons who collect their packages from the REACH Office. There are many other persons who come from all over the island to REACH to see what they can get e.g. clothing, food. For the past few months we have been having a lot of single parents coming to the office for help in feeding their children and also those who have lost their houses due to fire. REACH assists in any way it can to those who are in dire need regardless of creed, race, colour etc.
Thirty-two (32) housebound Older Persons are receiving one cooked meal each week from REACH. Volunteers of REACH have also pledged themselves in giving a meal to an elderly person. The Older Persons are very grateful for the food as they have no means of providing for themselves. Some of them depend solely on REACH and the mercy of their neighbors.
